Technical Details

Safety glazing is required by building codes (IBC Section 2406) in hazardous locations including glass railings and guards, glass in doors and sidelights, glass adjacent to walking surfaces, and glass near bathtubs and showers. Both tempered glass and laminated glass qualify as safety glazing. Each pane must bear a permanent manufacturer label indicating compliance.
